As a Security Officer Patrol Examiner in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the property. This role calls for strong communication, professionalism, and customer service, along with a team-focused mindset. Requirements

Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information through appropriate reporting channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, lobby areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support visitor processing, and/or report suspicious behavior in accordance with site procedures.
Support closing and opening routines, observe alarms and access points, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders when circumstances require additional assistance.
