Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors through strong communication and customer service while reflecting a caring, reliable, and innovative culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and activities according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to manage visitor and/or staff entry in accordance with location procedures, reporting concerns or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with campus community members and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues.
