Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an airport location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or public agency partners as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and nearby activity for policy compliance, assisting with access control, directional support, and other security-related duties.
  • Support daily operations at a government location by following post orders, communicating clearly with supervisors and/or local authorities, and completing routine reports and logs.
