As a Security Officer Unarmed - Afternoons in Hanahan, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, and support a welcoming environment for employees, drivers, and guests. You will use computer or tablet tools to document activity, communicate professionally, and help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and communicate access concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and access control observations accurately and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
