About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Access Patroller in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor inquiries, and help to support authorized access practices in accordance with site policies.
  • Prepare clear reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and assist with documenting security-related issues for follow-up.
