About The Position

As a Security Officer Access - Unarmed in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and other security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or delivery credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols and documenting security-related activity as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, shipping and receiving areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Support screening and checkpoint operations for personnel, packages, and/or vehicles, while communicating clearly with site contacts regarding access issues, policy questions, and unusual activity.
