As a Security Officer Unarmed Access Control in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms as needed. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, security-related protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the financial institution location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter boundaries, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and contacting emergency services when directed.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
