About The Position

As a Security Officer TWIC Screening in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support smooth site access for employees and visitors. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, and document authorized access to help support security-related protocols at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Screen vehicles, personnel, packages, and materials entering and leaving the location in accordance with post orders, client policies, and applicable site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, noting and reporting suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
