Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid TSA-issued TWIC card.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and other security-related policies.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or access permissions, document visitor activity, and report unusual incidents or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, operational areas, and perimeter locations, noting unauthorized activity, open gates, and/or other security-related concerns.
  • Support screening and traffic flow at the location by communicating entry requirements, directing arrivals to approved areas, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
