As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Champaign, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and supporting visitor and employee flow. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers at a food and beverage manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry and exit in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-support areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain accurate access-control records, complete required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
