Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter spaces, to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor the location for maintenance issues, unauthorized access, and resident-related concerns, reporting conditions that could impact daily operations or require follow-up by site leadership.
  • Assist with visitor management, package or delivery tracking, and basic front-facing support tasks while maintaining awareness of site activity and following Allied Universal protocols.
