About The Position

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers at a residential shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor records as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; request additional assistance and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and daily activity logs, documenting incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
