As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and remain visible to help deter incidents. Requirements

Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed, and assist with visitor procedures and resident movement in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and promptly notify appropriate site personnel of security-related concerns.
