Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to employees and visitors. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and follow established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned transit locations; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and daily documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.
