As a Security Officer - Transit Unarmed in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to passengers and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Pepper spray certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel and public emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, pedestrian access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and support orderly movement of passengers and visitors while providing directions and assistance consistent with site-specific procedures.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.
