About The Position
As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Protection in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic public transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to employees and visitors. Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, entrances, surrounding perimeter areas, and other designated locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and/or transit personnel when appropriate.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site representatives, and public-facing personnel regarding incidents and daily activities.
