As a Security Officer Train Station Graveyard in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will complete routine patrols, respond to site needs, and bring reliability, teamwork, agility, innovation, and integrity to each shift.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and activity within assigned areas, assisting with entry procedures, directions, and/or questions while supporting established location protocols.
  • Communicate with site contacts, employees, and/or local responders as needed regarding incidents, suspicious activity, and other security-related matters.
