As a Security Officer Security Screening in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen people, packages, bags, and deliveries entering the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures, documenting exceptions and reporting concerns to site leadership.
  • Monitor entry points, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access or prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs, screening records, and communication with Allied Universal supervisors and/or client representatives regarding daily activity and security-related issues.
