As a Security Officer Secure Entry Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, managing access control activities, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with attention to changing conditions common in a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Support vehicle and delivery screening processes, maintain accurate access logs, and communicate clearly with site personnel regarding security-related policies and entry requirements.
