About The Position

As a Security Officer Secure Entrance Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • COLA: DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test/MMR vaccinations are required.
  • A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and authorized personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, screen visitors, and document movement of people, vehicles, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unauthorized access, security-related issues, and/or conditions that could impact daily operations.
  • Support government location procedures by maintaining accurate logs, following post orders, and helping to deter unauthorized access through consistent presence and professional communication.
