As a Security Officer Secure Entry Driver in Smyrna, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by following site-specific access procedures, badge policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in support of security-related site operations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, trailer yards, docks, and perimeter, noting conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing inbound and outbound traffic, supporting vehicle screening procedures, and communicating clearly with site contacts regarding access concerns.
