About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Needles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal belongings through designated entry points using approved equipment and established procedures.
  • Monitor entrances, guide individuals through the screening process, and report suspicious items, prohibited property, and/or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and de-escalation practices.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, public spaces, and perimeter access points as directed by site needs.
