About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Palmetto, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen people and/or materials, and support smooth daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or designated items entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
• Respond to incidents, screening concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Monitor assigned access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, prohibited items, and/or policy violations through attentive screening practices.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with duties and working conditions that may vary by location.
