Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, screen people and property, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and other security-related policies for a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, dock areas, trailer yards, entry points, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring designated checkpoints, verifying credentials and/or documentation, and helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
