As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures, access screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a fast-paced distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries entering designated areas, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related issues to site contacts and/or leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, screening areas, loading zones, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or approved access, and support orderly movement of people and materials throughout the location.
