As a Security Officer - Screening Specialist in New Braunfels, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • A current guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal items entering designated areas in accordance with location procedures and escalation guidelines.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and report suspicious, unauthorized, and/or prohibited activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Support security-related operations for a fast-paced technology, media, and/or telecommunications location by documenting incidents, maintaining logs, and communicating relevant information to site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter policy violations and/or unauthorized access.
