As a Security Officer - Screening Specialist in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. In this role, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic technology location.
  • Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders and site policies, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to support orderly operations and appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Monitor entry points, credentials, and visitor activity to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related procedures for restricted or sensitive areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting facility issues, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior as working environments and conditions vary by location.
