Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals and belongings entering the government health and family services location in accordance with established procedures, escalating prohibited items or concerning situations to appropriate personnel.
  • Verify visitor authorization, direct guests to appropriate service areas, and maintain accurate visitor screening and entry records.
  • Respond to incidents, conflicts, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned public areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
