Requirements

Have at least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Screen individuals and belongings entering the government health and family services location in accordance with established procedures, escalating prohibited items or concerning situations to appropriate personnel.
Verify visitor authorization, direct guests to appropriate service areas, and maintain accurate visitor screening and entry records.
Respond to incidents, conflicts, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned public areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
