Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or selected items entering or leaving the location in accordance with post instructions and security-related procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, manifests, and/or authorized entry status while documenting screening activity and unusual events.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting concerns and escalating issues according to site protocol.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to screening areas, receiving and shipping zones, and other assigned posts as conditions vary by location.
