As a Security Officer Screening Monitor in Wallingford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening individuals and/or materials, and reporting security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures and screening protocols at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen persons, packages, vehicles, and/or deliveries in accordance with established access-control and security-related procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, loading areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
