Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access points, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. This role offers the chance to provide strong customer service, use communication and technology skills, and support daily operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen people, packages, bags, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with site policies and reporting procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery information, and report suspicious, unauthorized, or unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document screening-related concerns, policy violations, and/or operational disruptions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for security-related issues, restricted area concerns, and/or conditions that could impact daily operations.
