About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Monitor in Willington, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen people and/or materials, and support daily operations with professionalism and strong communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or personal belongings at designated access points in accordance with site procedures and reporting guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorized access, and report suspicious, prohibited, or unusual items and behaviors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting security-related concerns, access control issues, and/or operational disruptions.
