About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Intake in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and property, and support a professional, welcoming environment. This role combines strong communication, visible presence, and attention to security-related concerns while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Screen visitors, employees, and/or contractors entering the location by following established access control procedures and inspecting permitted items as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited items, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details through proper channels.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining orderly flow through screening areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual conditions and communicating security-related concerns to site contacts and/or supervisors.
