As a Security Officer Screening Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help support a secure environment by screening individuals and property, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals and authorized items entering the government location using assigned screening equipment and established procedures.
  • Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate check-in areas, and communicate access concerns to designated personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as directed, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.
