As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Carol Stream, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic technology location, where you will help monitor entry activity, support access screening processes, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities for a technology-focused location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and deliveries entering the location, verify credentials, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor entry points, reception areas, and other assigned posts to help support security-related policies, visitor processing, and orderly movement throughout the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, remaining aware that working environments and conditions may vary by location.
