About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or materials entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and escalate unusual findings through established reporting channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry points, lobbies, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized access, document activity, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and other conditions that could affect daily operations.
