As a Security Officer Screener in Needles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and staff, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and assist with routine site procedures. Requirements

  • 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or approved items using assigned screening equipment and established entry procedures, and help to identify prohibited or restricted items.
  • Verify identification, visitor purpose, and/or authorization for entry, and direct individuals to the appropriate check-in area or department.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required documentation and communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated public areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
