As a Security Officer - Screener in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology location.
• Screen people, packages, and/or personal property in accordance with site policies, and report unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help support security-related operations and site policy compliance.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor processing areas, helping to manage authorized access while maintaining detailed logs, reports, and other required records.
