As a Security Officer Screener in Cincinnati, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, visitor entry protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Screen visitors, bags, packages, and personal items in accordance with post orders and location policies while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff, guests, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, access points, and nearby public areas for unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry and other security-related concerns.
  • Prepare logs and incident reports related to screening activities, visitor interactions, and observed security-related issues in a clear and timely manner.
