As a Security Officer Screener in Mount Vernon, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will monitor entry points, support access screening activities, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal belongings in accordance with site protocols, and report prohibited items, unusual activity, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor entry points and help to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification, directing individuals to the proper areas, and maintaining orderly movement through screening areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct routine checks of assigned screening equipment and surrounding areas, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or irregular conditions according to established procedures.
