As a Security Officer X Ray Scanner Operator in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, and help identify potential security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with team members and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through attentive customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with established procedures, documenting and escalating prohibited items, discrepancies, or unusual activity.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident records.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, employee entrances, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
