As a Security Officer Roving Patrol in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help support authorized access, visitor processing, and compliance with location rules and posted requirements.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation, and relay relevant information to supervisors and/or designated personnel regarding security-related concerns and daily activities.
