About The Position

As a Security Officer Roving Patrol Detail in Johns Creek, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, assist visitors and staff with outstanding customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring culture built on teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential theft-related activity, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Support access control and after-hours security-related checks by observing entry points, verifying authorized access when required, and documenting incidents and/or daily activities.
