As a Security Officer Daytime Roving Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare and research-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization in accordance with site procedures; document and report access-related issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related calls, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
