As a Security Officer Route Patrol Driver in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic transportation location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and support access control activities by checking credentials, observing pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Assist with crowd management, wayfinding, and general assistance during busy travel periods, delays, and/or service disruptions while following post orders and site-specific protocols.
