As a Security Officer - Retail Center Patrol in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support shoppers, tenants, and staff through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned sections of the location to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe foot traffic, and/or assist with directing guests, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site expectations and post instructions.
• Support loss prevention awareness by identifying unusual behavior, reporting maintenance or hazard-related concerns, and/or assisting with crowd management during busy business periods.
