About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Data Center in Richardson, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support access awareness, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with tenants and visitors while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter to help identify security-related concerns and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and building conditions while helping to support established property rules, tenant expectations, and after-hours access procedures.
  • Complete routine reports, incident records, and shift communications to help maintain awareness of daily operations, notable events, and/or security-related issues at the location.
