As a Front Desk officer at a hotel and resort location, you will be the first point of contact for guests and staff, supporting a welcoming atmosphere while handling security-related access, visitor check-in, and badge and/or key control. You will monitor activity from the desk, document incidents, and communicate clearly with on-site teams. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk of a hotel or resort location.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity and help to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials and managing the sign-in process per post orders.
  • Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general assistance, and coordinate notifications to management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and completing required reports.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV and/or access control systems from the front desk and communicate observed issues to on-site personnel for follow-up.
