About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Reception Desk in Franklin, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology-focused location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff. You will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service. Your strong communication skills and ability to use computer systems will contribute to a welcoming and secure environment, reflecting our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols as appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities and any security-related incidents or observations at the front desk.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
  • Assist in managing deliveries, visitor check-ins, and other front desk operations to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Follow all company and client protocols related to the handling of confidential information and property.
