As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping to manage visitor access, monitor entry activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will support residents and guests with clear communication, steady presence, and strong customer service while living our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors at the front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and check-in requirements.
- Monitor the entry area and building activity through approved security-related systems and visual observation, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of visitor entries, deliveries, calls for service, and notable events, escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
- Assist with issuing and/or tracking credentials, keys, and access permissions per site policy, and communicate clearly with residents and building management regarding security-related matters.
